For nearly twenty years, I have studied the craft of writing and storytelling. For seven of those, I worked as a creative writing instructor in NYC. Since 2021, I have dedicated my role as a Contributing Editor at DiaCritics to lifting the voices of diasporic Southeast Asian indigenous and ethnic minority writers. As a Writing Coach and Editor, I am excited to bring these years of expertise to your creative projects!

Developmental Editing

The aim of a developmental edit is to work together in find the narrative glue and conceptual cohesion for your creative project. We would devise a schedule for check-ins about your writing, often using literary models to ground your pages in techniques that have worked for published writers. Depending on your goals, we would figure out an action plan to fine-tune the narrative and writing, with an eye towards publication.

Writing Coach

As your Writing Coach, I will help you reach your writing goals. Whether you need assistance to clarify what you'd like to accomplish or create a writing schedule to stick to and make progress, I can help with publishing advice, and scheduled check-ins we'll figure out your writing goals, and reach your writing goals. providing you with the guidance and support you need to make progress on your projects. We'll work together to structure a plan and create a timeline to help you reach your goals. I will provide you with feedback and answer specific questions to help you develop your work, and offer editing advice when needed. Manuscript editing included and depending on.

Structure Doctoring

As your book/story doctor, I can assist as a fresh pair of eyes to help you reimagine your project's arc and structure. I consider one of my strengths (and delights!) as an editor to be the ability to see the narrative and lyrical possibilities in a draft that otherwise might feel stuck. Reach out and let’s talk!

Line Editing

As a Line & Language Editor, I offer a special service to help you find the right words to express yourself. My job is to look at your prose and prune away the unnecessary, so that your voice and its poetry can shine through. I'm especially excited to work with bi- and multi-lingual speakers, exploring the outer limits of language.
