Check out the newest DVAN Writing Series - Memoir : Craft!
Online via Zoom
4:00pm - 5:30pm PT / 7:00pm - 8:30pm ET
We’ll explore the art of memoir and personal narrative through craft discussions centered on the award-winning memoir, “House of Sticks” by Ly Ky Tran, and other readings. This book and other resources will be the basis for generative writing exercises and provide a springboard for the exploration of our individual stories, family narratives, and reflections on diasporic Vietnamese/Southeast Asian history.
Participants will leave with creative drafts meant to spark continued writing and reflection, which will further prepare them for the next sequence in the DVAN Writing Series - Memoir : Workshop which is dedicated to sharing and exchanging feedback.
Classes are held on Wednesdays, from 7:00 - 8:30 PM Eastern Time/ 4:00 - 5:30 PM Pacific Time
